About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Rotates and replenishes merchandise. Ensures cleanliness and safety in the department, and checks temperatures of cases for correctness and consistency. This role is responsible for ensuring the frozen foods department is well-stocked, clean, and safe for customers. It involves direct customer interaction, merchandise rotation, and maintaining optimal temperature conditions for frozen products.

Requirements

Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables and limited standardization.
Ability to interpret instructions.
Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to file, post, and mail materials.
Ability to copy data from one record to another.
Ability to interview to obtain basic information.
Ability to guide people and provide basic direction.
Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
Ability to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Ensures cleanliness and safety in the department, including cleaning cases and sweeping floors.
Checks temperatures of cases for correctness and consistency.
Ensures merchandise is displayed neatly and labels are visible.
Builds and fills end cap displays.
Unloads trucks, checks in product, and puts product away.
Ensures storage area is organized and the floor is not slippery.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Orders product and supplies as necessary.
Assists with inventory.
Prices products for customers as necessary.
Assists in other areas of store as needed.
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
