About The Position
The Frozen Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Frozen Department, including inventory management, merchandising, ordering, and team leadership. This role ensures the department operates efficiently, meets sales and profitability goals, and delivers an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous grocery, retail, or frozen/stocking experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze sales and inventory data
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work in cold environments (freezer conditions) for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and stock product (up to 50 lbs)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Frozen Department, ensuring product availability and quality
- Maintain proper stock levels through accurate ordering, receiving, and inventory control
- Monitor shrink, spoilage, and out-of-stock conditions and take corrective action
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Execute merchandising plans, seasonal displays, and promotional sets
- Maintain proper pricing, signage, and shelf presentation standards
- Analyze sales trends and adjust ordering and displays to drive performance
- Ensure the department is clean, organized, and customer-ready at all times
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly
- Support overall store service initiatives and assist customers throughout the store when needed
- Supervise, train, and develop department associates
- Schedule labor effectively to meet business demands and productivity goals
- Provide feedback and coaching to associates to improve performance
- Support hiring and onboarding when needed
- Maintain accurate department records, including inventory, invoices, and reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in store meetings and communicate department needs
