About The Position

Weis Markets is seeking a Frozen Food Sales Associate who is passionate about teamwork and the growth of its associates and communities. This role is responsible for keeping the frozen food section well-stocked and appealing to customers, ensuring product freshness and proper pricing, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, cooler, and backroom. The associate will also assist with inventory management, minimize loss by following temperature guidelines, and report any damages or discrepancies to management. Cooperation with co-workers and supervisors is essential for the smooth function of the department and store. The company emphasizes a culture of respect, understanding, and appreciation for its associates.

Requirements

Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Keeps frozen food well stocked and always appealing to meet customer demands, while achieving efficiency and productivity standards.
Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
Ensures that frozen food product is fresh and saleable by following rotation standards.
Ensures that product is correctly priced with proper tags or signage.
Handles spoiled and damaged merchandise, or merchandise that may be getting close to expiration according to company procedures and standards.
Maintains condition of the sales floor, cooler and backroom.
Responsible for general sanitation in the department.
Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
Disposes of trash properly.
May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack if properly trained.
May assist with baling cardboard or other related duties if properly trained.
Helps review orders to manage inventory levels.
Minimize loss by following time and temperature guidelines.
Reports damages and/or discrepancies to management.
Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
Responsible to continuously improve job performance.
Responsible for utilization of all company provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
