As a primary contact for customers, the Frozen Food Manager provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This role involves training, supervising, scheduling, and assigning duties to Frozen Food Clerks. The manager is responsible for maintaining appropriate stock and inventory in the frozen food area, minimizing out-of-stock products, and writing frozen food orders. Key duties include rotating product, removing expired stock, stocking frozen food cases, cleaning the department, and restocking items in freezers for other departments. The role also includes unloading received goods, transporting them to the sales floor, breaking down boxes for recycling, checking and filling the ice machine, and restocking end displays. In case of freezer malfunctions or power outages, the employee will manage product removal, cleaning, and restocking. The position may also require functioning as a cashier during peak times.
