About The Position

The Social Web team builds the interfaces players use to connect with other players across Epic's ecosystem, including Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. As an intern on the team, you'll ship real features that touch millions of players, gaining hands-on experience with production web development while being mentored through the full lifecycle of a feature, from design to deployment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Coursework or project experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework
• A strong interest in distributed systems
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the posting location for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, working directly in our production codebase
• Partner with senior engineers to design and implement UI components and user flows for the social overlay experience
• Debug issues and contribute fixes across the front end, with guidance from your team
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to build strong engineering habits
• Take ownership of a well-scoped project or feature over the course of your internship, from planning through to shipping
