Frontend Design Engineer
About The Position
We’re looking for a frontend design engineer to join us at Garage. Garage is the modern marketplace for secondhand heavy equipment — starting with fire trucks and firefighting equipment. Serving fire departments is the first step in our mission to streamline the way heavy equipment is bought and sold, powering the backbone of America's industries. We're funded by Y Combinator and have been growing quickly! Our small team (ex- Twitter, Ramp, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Honey, Mem AI) is obsessed with user experience and shipping products end-to-end. As a frontend design engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our team, reporting directly to the founders and CTO.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills, especially in Typescript.
- Ability and willingness to work in-person in NYC.
- 1+ years of full-time SWE experience.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
Nice To Haves
- Obsession over pixels and micro-interactions.
- Experience with NextJS, React, and Express.
- Strong side projects.
- Desire to serve customers in local governments and emergency services.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science.
