About The Position

The Front Services person will be responsible for assisting guests with check-in/check-out processes, provide guests with information and assistance with hotel and room amenities, assist with all vehicle and luggage needs, while maintaining AAA 4 diamond service standards. Valet/Bell Attendants will demonstrate and exemplify Jamul Casino Resort’s mission and values by embodying the acronym F.I.R.S.T. (Fun, Integrity, Respect, Service, Team).

Requirements

  • Must have a valid California Driver’s license
  • Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent phone and radio etiquette
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, as well as all levels of team members
  • Ability to drive cars of all types
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and fluctuating days off.

  • This position is very physical in nature and requires incumbent to jog across flat land for the duration of their shift, as well as up and down stairs to park and retrieve cars in as little amount of time as possible. Incumbent must be able to reach and grasp to retrieve keys for guests' vehicles.
  • The team member is regularly required to stand up to 8 hours and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, and over the telephone.
  • Sufficient strength to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. Additionally, Spanish and/or Tagalog language skills highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Incoming and outgoing bell desk calls
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Assist guests with luggage, directions, and special requests
  • Offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions, making reservations as needed
  • Assist guests with short-term baggage storage
  • Maintain P.L.A.Y. Steps of Service and AAA 4 diamond service standards, conducting all interactions in a friendly and attentive manner
  • Assist Full Valet Operation as directed
  • Parks guest vehicles in specified areas in an efficient and safe manner
  • Retrieves guest vehicles from specified areas in an efficient and safe manner
  • Performs drive-and-park assignments per department policies and procedures
  • Ensures prompt reporting of any incidents to Valet Supervisor
  • Provides information to guests via phone and in-person at the Valet Dispatch Desk about valet services, general casino and promotions and events.
  • Must be knowledgeable and remain up-to-date regarding casino and resort amenities, promotions and events
