About The Position

Carversteak, a contemporary reimagining of the casino steakhouse at Resorts World Las Vegas, offers a unique dining experience with its mid-century modern design, advanced technology, and a menu featuring high-quality steaks and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant boasts an expansive bar, a plush dining room, and a terrace with an outdoor bar and gardens overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The ambiance is enhanced by a digital art program and a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system. The menu includes dry-aged American steaks, Japanese-certified Wagyu, classic steakhouse staples, and vegan options. The beverage program features an extensive wine list, a curated whiskey collection, and an Avant-Garden cocktail experience with an onsite herb garden. Private event spaces are also available, including dedicated private dining rooms and an outdoor garden.

Requirements

  • Previous server/hospitality experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and ensure guest satisfaction and build guest loyalty through high-quality service.
  • Prioritize station tasks, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and coordinate station details.
  • Provide guidance and a leading role to the back server throughout service.
  • Take orders, inquire about food allergies, and provide information about specials.
  • Conduct complete and timely food and beverage service while monitoring guests' dining experience.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards.
  • Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and the entire venue.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all food and beverage items.
  • Inform guests of all food and beverage specials, with pricing.
  • Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest.
  • Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of all food and beverage to guests.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.
  • Serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.
  • Protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures, including tips distribution.
  • Communicate the needs of guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs.
  • Properly set-up floor and perform other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side-work.
  • Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  • Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all employees.
