Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or high-volume customer service environment.
  • Experience using computerized scheduling systems, electronic medical records (EMR), or other healthcare information systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a student health center, outpatient clinic, or ambulatory care environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare front office workflows.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic or similar EMR platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for General Medical, Specialty, and Nurse Clinics using the electronic scheduling system.
  • Greet patients, answer incoming calls, provide information, and deliver professional front office reception services.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks related to electronic medical records, patient registration, and document management.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and support daily clinic operations while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
