About The Position

The Front Office Manager is responsible for leading all operational and administrative functions of the Front Office across two properties, while also overseeing bar operations, to ensure exceptional guest and owner experiences, strong team performance, and achievement of operational and financial goals. This role provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the front office team, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and progressive discipline. The Front Office Manager partners closely with other departments to support service excellence, operational consistency, and property-wide success, while taking initiative on projects that improve the guest, owner, and team experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality or Business preferred
  • Word, Excel, Outlook, Coupa, Workday
  • Valid CO driver's license; Possesses a valid driver's license for type of vehicle driven.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience in Front Office for high volume property.
  • Previous Management experience at a Hotel.
  • Previous budgetary management experience.
  • Flexible schedule availability based on business and operational needs.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Front Office operations across two properties, including Front Desk, Night Audit, Ski Check, and bar operations
  • Hire, train, supervise, coach, and empower Front Office staff in operations, guest service, safety, and security standards
  • Serve as the escalation point for guest issues and work to resolve concerns to a satisfactory outcome for the guest and the resort
  • Ensure adherence to all Front Office and hotel policies and procedures, including booking practices, billing accuracy, POS processes, guest security, and safety plans
  • Provide exemplary guest and owner service at all times and model service standards for the team
  • Review guest service scores regularly, address service gaps, and coach staff to improve the arrival and departure experience
  • Monitor Medallia feedback, respond within 24 hours, and partner with other departments to resolve concerns promptly
  • Manage labor and operating budgets for the Front Office team and support financial performance goals
  • Create and manage schedules based on occupancy, operational demand, and coverage needs across all areas of responsibility
  • Oversee payroll review and approvals for the department in partnership with Assistant Front Office Managers as applicable
  • Facilitate departmental and operational meetings as needed
  • Follow up on accounting, reservations, and billing issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Review inventory and occupancy regularly, maintain awareness of future demand, and communicate sell-out dates, oversold situations, VIP arrivals, and special requests to appropriate partners
  • Partner with Revenue Management and Group Sales on occupancy, oversell issues, upcoming groups, and post-stay feedback
  • Manage comp room reporting and assignment of comps to specific units
  • Oversee owner and owner guest arrival and departure experiences, including inspections, concierge-related requests, and personalized service whenever possible
  • Manage reservation room assignments, ensure guest requests are met, address double bookings, communicate room changes, and support Revenue Equalization processes
  • Support owner reservation requests, owner questions, and accurate posting of room revenue to owner statements
  • Oversee hotel bar operations, including inventory, purchasing, staffing, and revenue efficiency
  • Order operating supplies for the department and manage usage in alignment with budget expectations
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and ethical standard in all interactions with guests, team members, and leaders
  • Collaborate across departments and take initiative on projects that improve operational effectiveness and the overall property experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned
