About The Position

The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington is seeking a dedicated Front Office Manager to join their dynamic team. This role involves supervising front desk operations to ensure high quality and service for guests, assisting with hotel operations supervision when necessary, and contributing to exceeding Hilton’s guest service scores and departmental profitability. The hotel is a premier destination known for its contemporary style and exceptional service, located conveniently near the Mall of America and the city center. It offers 256 guestrooms and acclaimed dining options. As a Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing and motivating front office associates, ensuring adherence to service and productivity standards, maintaining appropriate standards of conduct, and managing departmental operations such as reservations, supplies, scheduling, and budgeting to maximize revenue. You will also be responsible for implementing corporate marketing programs like Hilton Honors, resolving guest complaints, performing room inspections, and assisting with guest check-in/check-out and other guest services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two to five years’ experience as Assistant and/or Front Office Manager
  • Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations, and backup systems.
  • Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests and employees.
  • Thorough organization and supervisory skills proficient in accomplishing the task.
  • Ability to develop subordinates to enhance advancement in the hotel and corporation.
  • Ability to analyze complex statistical data and make judgments accordingly.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

  • CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate all front office associates with the daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene and appearance are maintained.
  • Check room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, and departmental budgeting to maximize revenue.
  • Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work.
  • Organize, conduct, and/or attend meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
  • Implement and monitor all corporate marketing programs to include Hilton Honors, etc.
  • Receive and resolves all departmental guest complaints in timely manner and within the guidelines of the company.
  • Perform room inspections, which requires bending, stooping, reaching overhead and moving throughout guest floors.
  • Assist in check in/ check out of guests or any related guest service activity.
