We are seeking a bilingual Front Office Legal Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for clients, prospective clients, and visitors while providing administrative and legal support to our attorneys and paralegals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing front desk responsibilities with legal administrative work. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to manage multiple priorities while creating an outstanding client experience.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a law firm or legal environment.
  • Criminal Justice coursework or related educational background.
  • Experience using legal or case management software.
  • Additional education beyond a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and visitors with professionalism and empathy.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls.
  • Manage walk-in inquiries and guest check-ins.
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and preparation.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain a professional reception and common area environment.
  • Assist with general administrative office support.
  • Support attorneys and paralegals with case-related administrative tasks.
  • Maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Request, organize, and track records and supporting documentation.
  • Draft routine correspondence and legal documents.
  • Schedule client meetings, consultations, and court-related appointments.
  • Track deadlines and maintain calendars.
  • Document client communications within the case management system.
  • Scan, upload, and organize legal documents.
  • Assist with client intake and onboarding.
  • Provide Spanish-English translation support for clients, calls, meetings, and documents.
