About The Position

The Front Office Coordinator works as part of a team fulfilling administrative responsibilities while advocating on behalf of patients. Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and creating a welcoming environment is critical. This pivotal role manages the flow of patients and communications within the office. This is a clinic-based position located in the Midtown area of Atlanta, GA (2140 Peachtree Road). General work hours are Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years' experience in a healthcare front office position required
  • Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm
  • Ability to adapt to EMR functionality
  • Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, have excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred, especially in a health-related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in eClinical Works strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a welcoming environment by greeting patients and visitors
  • Manages patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Scheduling appointments for multiple providers
  • Process insurance verifications (utilizing Waystar and other payer sites as needed).
  • Explain and thoroughly communicates insurance benefits to patients
  • Assess/updates patient demographics and insurance information as needed
  • Handles inquiries regarding patient financial concerns
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as needed
