About The Position

Queen Anne Hilltop is looking for an experienced and dedicated full-time Front Office Coordinator and Registered Dental Assistant to join their team. Our Front Office Coordinators play an essential role in the oral healthcare of our patients, as well as the financial health of the practice. The primary role of the Front Office Coordinator is to partner with clinicians to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our patients while maintaining a financially viable practice. This is a split position that will require supporting hygienists turning rooms, sterilizations and setting up rooms. In this role, the Front Office Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our patients and will set the tone for their experience. They maintain productive schedules, verify patient insurance information, and collect all co-pays at checkout, scheduling and collections. This position will report to the Office Manager. The hourly salary range for this position is $28-$32.38 per hour depending on experience. Schedule is 5 days/week Mon- Fri.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 1 year dental front office experience required, prior dental insurance coordination experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have ability to cover front and back office duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Open Dental software preferred
  • 1+ years of RDA experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • New patient and hygiene coordination
  • Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.
  • Gain financial commitment from patients and collect co-payments.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Respond to patient billing, treatment, and benefit inquiries.
  • Prepare and sterilize rooms and instruments with care and consistency
  • Help keep the day flowing with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Assist the dentist and hygienists during a wide range of clinical procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.
