About The Position

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring a Front Office Clinic Assistant to join our Vancouver Health Center team. Bilingual Spanish required. As a Front Office Clinic Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—helping ensure every interaction is handled with dignity, compassion, and professionalism. We provide training, mentorship, and a supportive environment where you can grow while making a meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll help create a smooth, supportive experience for patients—from check-in to check-out. You’ll play a key role in ensuring patients feel respected, informed, and supported throughout their visit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or high-volume environment
  • Strong communication skills with diverse patients and teams
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systems
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual Spanish required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical or front desk setting
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Basic knowledge of insurance, billing, or healthcare systems
  • Additional language skills

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, check them in, and prepare paperwork
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and support patient questions
  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Verify insurance and discuss payment or funding options with patients
  • Collect payments and complete daily balancing tasks
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to keep the clinic running on time
  • Help maintain a welcoming, organized front office environment
