About The Position

The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This role requires adherence to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. The agent will actively participate in the team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Participation in all resort required meetings and trainings is mandatory. Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag, is essential. A thorough knowledge of the HMS resort system and the resort and its facilities is required. The role involves maximizing efforts towards productivity, identifying problem areas, and assisting in implementing solutions. Effectiveness in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them as necessary, is crucial. Greeting and welcoming all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Silverado Resort standards, answering guest inquiries about resort services, facilities, and hours of operation in a timely manner, and ensuring logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms are key duties. Reviewing the Front Office log and Trace File daily, answering guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc., and following all cash handling and credit policies are also part of the responsibilities. Familiarity with all in-house groups and knowledge of emergency procedures are necessary. Handling check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, using proper two-way radio etiquette, and fully comprehending and operating all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system are required. Balancing and preparing individual paperwork for closing of shift according to resort standards, and abiding by all resort policies and safety rules are also part of the role. Other duties may be requested by management.

Requirements

  • Customer Services experience required.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of HMS resort system.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a resort or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
