About The Position

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Front of the House F&B Manager for the Crowne Plaza KC Downtown in Kansas City, MO. The purpose of this role is to manage the functions of the hotel's Front of the House Food & Beverage department to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. This position will also assist in the Banquets department as directed and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of these areas. The manager will operate within the assigned budget, marketing plans, and objectives, providing warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to guests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Food & Beverage leadership experience.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the hospitality and business management fields.
  • Requires considerable working knowledge of other major areas and the skill to integrate and communicate that information.
  • Requires studying, analyzing and interpreting complex activities or information in order to improve known practices or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to make decisions following policies and procedures for guidance and keeping the Director of Food & Beverage informed of pertinent occurrences or incidents.
  • Requires highly developed communication skills in leading employees and guest satisfaction.
  • Must have excellent speech and written skills in order to communicate with managers, guests and employees.
  • Must have excellent literacy skills necessary for reports, policies and procedures.
  • Must have vision ability in order to visually inspect hotel.
  • Must have mobility to walk through the front and the back of the hotel and restaurant outlets.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees to attract, retain, and motivate them; including hiring, training, developing, empowering, coaching, counseling, conducting performance and salary reviews, resolving problems, providing open communication, and disciplining/terminating as appropriate.
  • Manage within the assigned budget, marketing plans, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed management expectations.
  • Implement company and franchise programs, develop local programs and procedures, and manage Food & Beverage operations ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Resolve customer complaints to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Comply with emergency organizational procedures and training to ensure protection for hotel guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Promote an accident prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
  • Assist in managing the maintenance and sanitation of the front and back of the house to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
