About The Position

The Front Lobby Receptionist serves as a primary resource for patients, visitors, and others entering the hospital through the front lobby. Key responsibilities include courteously answering questions, guiding individuals to their destinations, informing visitors about and upholding the visiting policy, and maintaining current documentation for all patients presenting for registration. This role is crucial for providing exceptional and innovative care within the hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests, assisting customers, being organized
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Typing 40 WPM
  • Computer experience
  • Experience with faxes, copiers, multiline phones, printers
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (training from CHOC)
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
  • Attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (Must be obtained within three (3) months of hire date)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of experience in a reception position
  • Some college or communications classes
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
