About The Position

The primary role of this position is to maintain production in the front end based upon priorities and maintain our processing standards. The front-end team lead is also the central point of contact in this department.

Requirements

Know how to operate all equipment and train personnel in doing so.
Be prepared on new hires first day with all PPE and ready to greet them.
Ensure all overhead doors are closed and man-doors are locked at EOD.
Ensure parts are moving up to fabrication from the front end.
Ensure all weekly, monthly, semi-annual and yearly PM reports are turned in.
Ensure all crane reports are filled out and turned in daily.
Encourage others to speak up and help their teammates towards success.
Keep safety at the forefront and encourage a safety-minded culture.
Coach and train team members in this department.

Responsibilities

Plan and control the workflow of the front-end based on priorities.
Distributing all cut lists to operators.
Communicating due dates to all operators.
Meeting with personnel from this department every morning to discuss daily tasks and expectations.
Communicating any damaged equipment or equipment needs with Maintenance Team.
Communicating with technicians as needed.
Providing department personnel feedback.
Communicating resource needs to the Plant Manager.
Employee orientation of this department.
Group Leader should know how to operate all equipment and train personnel in doing so.
