About The Position

The Front End Supervisor is responsible for overseeing front-end operations, ensuring accuracy and high productivity. This role involves managing sales programs, communicating information to front-end personnel, and addressing pricing errors. The supervisor must ensure proper staffing during high-volume times, operate the cash register efficiently, and handle guest purchases and checkout procedures accurately and courteously. Additionally, this position involves managing front-end supplies, ensuring the security and accuracy of cash in registers and the safe, and implementing all security and cash drawer accounting procedures. The supervisor is also responsible for opening and closing the store according to company policy, fostering positive customer relations, promoting high morale within the department and store through open communication, and maintaining good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. The role requires providing a professional example for other team members and complying with all company policies and directives.

Requirements

  • Previous front end experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol and supervise sales for all under 21.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate ad items, special prices, coupon deals, or other features of the store's sales program to front-end personnel.
  • Immediately notify proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in the file.
  • Observe the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensure additional help is provided as needed.
  • Operate cash register efficiently, bag guest's purchases, and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Assist in ensuring the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies, including bags, register tapes, office forms, and cleaning supplies, within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of cash in registers and the safe.
  • Implement all security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies.
  • Follow company policy in opening and closing the store.
  • Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within the department and store using friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs, and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide a professional example for other store team members to follow.
