About The Position

The Front End Supervisor is responsible for overseeing front-end operations, ensuring accuracy and high productivity. This role involves managing sales programs, communicating information to front-end personnel, and addressing any pricing errors or system issues. The supervisor must monitor front-end coverage, assist with cashier duties when needed, and manage front-end supplies and cash handling procedures. Additionally, this position requires fostering positive customer relations, promoting high morale within the department, and collaborating with other department managers to improve store-wide sales. The supervisor must also adhere to all company policies and serve as a professional example for team members.

Requirements

  • Previous front end experience required.
  • Minimum age of 21 years required to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol and supervise sales for all under 21.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate information about ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and other sales program features to front-end personnel.
  • Immediately notify proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in the system.
  • Continuously observe the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensure additional help is provided as needed.
  • Operate cash registers efficiently, bag guest purchases, and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Assist in ensuring the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies (bags, register tapes, office forms, cleaning supplies) within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of cash in registers and the safe.
  • Implement all security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies.
  • Follow company policy in opening and closing the store.
  • Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within the department and store using honest and open communication.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving store-wide sales.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs, and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide a professional example for other store team members to follow.
