About The Position

Team Red Dog is hiring a Front-End Software Engineer – Web Games for our client, a creative technology powerhouse and global technology leader. In this fully remote contract role, you'll help build polished, high-performance web game experiences by developing responsive user interfaces, fixing bugs, and delivering new features using React, TypeScript, Solid.js, and modern front-end technologies. Working on client’s Casual Games team, you'll collaborate with engineers, designers, and producers to transform Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible web applications while contributing to an exciting next-generation gaming platform. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced front-end engineer who enjoys solving complex UI challenges, optimizing performance, and building engaging experiences used by millions of players.

Requirements

  • Modern Front-End Development (React, TypeScript, Solid.js): Build and enhance responsive web applications, implement new features, resolve defects, and develop reusable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript.
  • Pixel-Perfect UI & Responsive Design: Translate Figma designs into production-ready interfaces with exceptional attention to visual detail, accessibility (WCAG 2.x), responsive layouts, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Web Performance & Quality Engineering: Optimize application performance, troubleshoot front-end issues, conduct thorough testing, and deliver high-quality code with minimal regressions.
  • Web Technologies & Data Integration: Work with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Node.js, Git, Azure DevOps, REST APIs, JSON, Webpack/Vite, and modern development workflows to build scalable web experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of professional front-end software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript in production environments.
  • Experience with Solid.js or the ability to quickly learn and contribute using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TS/TSX, and JSON.
  • Experience using Node.js, npm, Git, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, Webpack, and Vite.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based data services.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web development, accessibility (WCAG 2.x AA), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience translating Figma designs into polished production interfaces.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HTML Canvas, responsive single-page applications, CSS animations, web accessibility, touch-friendly interfaces, and web game development concepts will help candidates stand out, as will familiarity with TypeScript, React, Solid.js, performance profiling, and modern front-end tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Design teams to deliver high-quality web game features.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and production-ready UI components from Figma designs and interaction specifications.
  • Implement bug fixes and small feature enhancements across existing web applications.
  • Enhance and extend design systems and shared front-end framework code.
  • Deliver pixel-perfect user experiences across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
  • Participate in code reviews while following established quality, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Optimize front-end performance, telemetry, and error tracking where appropriate.
  • Plan, communicate, and track work using Azure DevOps and project management tools.
  • Contribute to a collaborative Agile development environment with daily standups and minimal meeting overhead.
