About The Position

Seeking a Kibana Dashboard Software Engineer to support the Innovations Group on the GSM-O II Program as a member of the End-to-End Visualization Team. Candidates must be within driving distance of Scott AFB. A Secret clearance is required at the start of employment, and Security+ certification must be obtained within 14 days. As a key team member, you will work in a fast-paced Agile environment to architect, design, and develop a unified User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) that delivers a single-pane-of-glass solution on the Kibana platform. You will collaborate with operational end users and support teams to gather requirements and develop UI mockups and wireframes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with 2+ years of related experience
1+ year of experience designing and deploying dashboards using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)
2+ years of UX/UI design and development experience, including wireframing and architecture diagrams
Experience with Python, Java, and SQL; working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
Experience with version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket
Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to obtain interim Secret clearance prior to start
Ability to obtain Security+ (or equivalent IAT II certification) within 60 days
Ability to commute to Ft. Meade, MD; Hill AFB, UT; or Scott AFB, IL for onsite work
Experience working in fast-paced, technical, Agile environments
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD practices

Responsibilities

Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and usability
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Kibana
Apply UI/UX design principles (visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color, accessibility)
