FinTech - AI Finance - Front-end Software Developer - Senior
About The Position
EY.AI Finance is building a generative AI application purpose-built for Financial Planning & Analysis. This role is part of a small, high-velocity product team responsible for the full UI surface of that product, including interactive analytics, chat-driven workflows, and config-driven dashboards. The position involves interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate business models, processes, and operations, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and translating them into technical specifications. Expertise in specific technology platforms will be crucial for implementation, customization, and optimization. This is a centrally managed software asset designed to scale across sectors and clients, not a typical consulting engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
- 3–5 years of professional frontend development experience
- Proficiency in React / Next.js and TypeScript
- Solid experience with Tailwind CSS
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working alongside backend services
- Ability to work independently and own feature development from design handoff to deployment
- Demonstrated portfolio or code samples showing polished, production-quality UI work
- Strong technical skills in application functional design and platform methodologies.
- Expertise in system configuration design and technology business architecture frameworks.
- Proficiency in defining and analyzing technology business requirements.
- Experience in conducting technology cost-benefit analyses and delivering training.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills to foster trust with clients and colleagues.
- Strong digital fluency and emotional agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building custom chat interfaces or highly interactive, stateful web applications
- Exposure to data visualization libraries (e.g., Chart.js, D3.js, Recharts)
- Familiarity with Azure Web Apps and/or Python-based backend environments
- Interest in finance, FP&A workflows, or enterprise SaaS — domain experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in technology implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive UIs using React / Next.js and TypeScript
- Translate product and UX designs (Figma) into clean, functional, and scalable interfaces aligned with EY brand standards
- Build and refine interactive components — including chat interfaces, data visualizations, and configuration-driven views
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, data scientists, and product leadership to deliver cohesive features end-to-end
- Contribute to component libraries, internal documentation, and knowledge transfer across distributed teams
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
- Tailor technology platforms to align with business processes and objectives.
