About The Position

RiverWoods Exeter is hiring a seasonal, per diem Front-End Loader Operator to support its winter snow removal team. The operator uses a front-end loader or other assigned equipment to clear campus roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas, helping maintain safe access for residents, staff, and visitors. The role calls for a dependable, safety-conscious team member who can adapt to changing needs and help create a safe, caring environment. Work is scheduled around winter weather events. Shifts may last up to 12 hours and may include overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday hours. Post-storm cleanup and resident vehicle clearing generally take place during normal business days. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation during snow events are essential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
Ability to safely operate assigned equipment after training.
Dependability, clear communication, and a team-oriented approach.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in cold, snowy, wet, and icy conditions.
Ability to get on and off equipment; bend, kneel, crouch, and reach; and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Reliable transportation during snow events.

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred, but not required.
Experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment, particularly for commercial snow removal.
Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or construction.

Responsibilities

Operate a front-end loader with a snow plow along assigned campus routes.
Clear snow from roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas.
Support parking lot clearing and restoration after storms, including resident vehicle clearing operations.
Inspect equipment before and after use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Assist with ice control, cleanup, fueling, and equipment preparation as assigned.
Follow snow removal procedures, equipment operating guidelines, and safety requirements.
Complete required training and communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and supervisors.
