About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Front End Java Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. The role is part of a team delivering a financial analysis solution and addressing non-permitted technology remediation, including system platform and application upgrades. The ideal candidate will own feature delivery from design to development, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to enterprise standards. This position involves complex coordination with technology infrastructure partners and external vendors.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring 5, Hibernate, and Spring MVC/Batch
  • Proficiency with version control such as GIT/Bitbucket or Subversion
  • Experience with WebLogic Server, performance tuning, ETL processes, and both Windows and Linux environments
  • Strong querying and PL/SQL skills across multiple database platforms, including Oracle and SQL Server
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular 17 or above, and Node.js
  • Experience with reporting tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Proficiency with test automation using Selenium and Cucumber
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
  • Experience with AWS, REST APIs, and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and MS SQL Server database platforms
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and microservices architecture

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and take ownership of feature delivery while ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Adhere to enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality assurance
  • Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Oversee compliance and security requirements, including audit support at the team level
  • Act as a liaison for production activities and effectively resolve issues
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a well-defined product backlog with clear acceptance criteria
  • Guide the team in work breakdown and efficient task execution to meet delivery timelines
  • Serve as a team lead and mentor team members to enhance their skills and practices
  • Provide expertise in planning, estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering best practices
