About The Position

This role involves creating and modifying the front-end experience and maintainability of team tools or applications. The engineer will develop and improve large user-facing product features and components, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the overall product architecture for a cohesive customer experience. Responsibilities include designing and implementing production-quality web applications that are performant, secure, and accessibility compliant. The position requires participation in engineering software design and user experience discussions, contributing both collaboratively and independently in a rapidly changing environment to support user requirements. A key aspect of the role is resolving the root cause of complex front-end/UX issues to improve software and utilizing appropriate programming paradigms (e.g., object-oriented and/or functional programming) and front-end software design patterns. The engineer will also conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience in building large-scale web applications.
  • One year of experience with JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular, Vue, or Backbone.
  • One year of experience with responsive web design, media queries, resolution of independent image display, and delivering functionality across devices and platforms.
  • One year of experience developing rich applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and integrating with REST APIs.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25% may be required.
