About The Position

Rocket Communications is an enterprise UX Design company focused on designing mission-critical applications and systems. We are seeking a Denver-based Front End developer who has an active Top Secret Clearance to join our team. If you have JavaScript/TypeScript experience and a solid understanding of key web application design principles, you might be a great fit in helping us solve some of our nation’s most complex space app user experience challenges. We are a small company dispersed across the U.S. Our work can be challenging and complex, but our team is fun, friendly, and supportive. This is a fully onsite role in Greenwood Village, CO. Due to our work with the DoD, this person needs to already have Active Top Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience developing complex, intelligent, and secure web applications with modern web technologies, prioritizing client-side development.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, Javascript ES6+).
  • Knowledgeable about modern frameworks such as Vue.js, React, and/or Angular.
  • Understand key web application design principles.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Willing to work onsite daily in Greenwood Village, CO.
  • US Citizen who lives in the USA.

Nice To Haves

  • Full Stack & Backend experience
  • Experience with JavaScript unit testing (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, or Vitest)
  • Experience with end-to-end testing (e.g., Cypress)
  • Experience using Git and Jira in a development workflow
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with web visualization frameworks such as D3.js or Cesium
  • Experience with SCSS and Bootstrap
  • Knowledge of observer design patterns utilizing RxJS or a similar library
  • Knowledge of user centered design principles and experience with Sketch/Figma or equivalent design tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex, intelligent, and secure web applications with modern web technologies, prioritizing client-side development.
  • Ensure the feasibility of the design, clarify ambiguous designs, and build reusable code and components.
  • Work closely with both internal and external design teams.
  • Engage in the UI/UX design process.
