About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and performance-driven Senior Front-End Developer specialized in Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) to support the architecture, development, and optimization of next-generation digital experiences. This role is ideal for a developer with strong hands-on experience in Adobe EDS, formerly Project Franklin / Helix , who understands lightweight frontend architecture, edge-rendered websites, document-based authoring workflows, and high-performance delivery standards. The selected candidate will work on building ultra-fast, scalable, and reusable web components using vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3 , with a strong focus on Core Web Vitals, Google PageSpeed performance, GitHub-based workflows, and Adobe ecosystem integrations .

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, and launching websites using Adobe Edge Delivery Services, Project Franklin, or Helix .
  • Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager and enterprise web development environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of vanilla JavaScript ES6+, semantic HTML5, and modern CSS3 .
  • Advanced understanding of CSS custom properties, responsive design, Grid, Flexbox, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience building custom blocks, reusable sections, and lightweight components for high-performance websites.
  • Strong understanding of why heavy frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue are typically decoupled from core EDS pages.
  • Proven experience optimizing websites for Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and Core Web Vitals .
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift .
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, branch management, automated formatting, linting, and GitHub Actions .
  • Familiarity with document-to-HTML transformation, Markdown parsing rules, metadata tables, and content authoring workflows.
  • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • English proficiency C1+ required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience migrating traditional AEM Sites implementations using HTL, Sightly, OSGi, Sling Models, or AEM components into Adobe EDS architecture.
  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, AEM Assets, Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O Runtime APIs, or headless Adobe implementations .
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, Open Graph schema configuration, structured metadata, and edge-side analytics injection.
  • Experience with CDN platforms such as Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, or similar technologies .
  • Experience supporting global or enterprise-level websites.
  • Adobe-certified credentials in AEM or Adobe Experience Platform ecosystems.
  • Experience with performance budgets, frontend observability, and web analytics implementation.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
  • Experience working with multilingual or multisite enterprise web platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed teams across LATAM, the United States, or global markets.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or personalization workflows.
  • Prior experience in agency, consulting, staff augmentation, or client-facing delivery environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop highly reusable, semantic, and high-performance custom blocks and sections using vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3 .
  • Set up, scaffold, and configure new Adobe Edge Delivery Services projects using the modern AEM boilerplate repository.
  • Manage Adobe EDS project configurations, including .hlx, routing, rewrites, and config.yaml.
  • Support document-based authoring workflows using Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or Adobe Document Authoring .
  • Collaborate with content creators, business stakeholders, designers, QA teams, and engineering teams to ensure smooth content publishing and page behavior.
  • Own frontend performance optimization with a strong focus on Core Web Vitals , including LCP, INP, and CLS.
  • Optimize loading strategies using eager, lazy, and delayed loading phases such as loadEager, loadLazy, and loadDelayed.
  • Implement programmatic auto-blocking and lightweight frontend interaction patterns.
  • Work with edge delivery and CDN configurations, including Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, or similar CDN platforms .
  • Manage caching strategies, TTL tuning, and edge-side includes for dynamic content components when required.
  • Maintain a Git-first development workflow using GitHub integrations, pull requests, branch management, formatting, linting, and deployment workflows .
  • Integrate Adobe EDS pages with broader Adobe environments, including AEM Assets, Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O Runtime APIs, and headless CMS capabilities .
  • Troubleshoot frontend, content, performance, and publishing issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reusable frontend standards, and best practices for scalable web delivery.
