Front End Clerk
About The Position
This role is responsible for providing World Famous Friendly Customer Service to customers, team members, and outside vendors. Key duties include cashiering, bagging groceries, cleaning, merchandising, stocking, rotating product, and facing shelves. The position requires working as part of a team and maintaining a neat appearance according to company policy. Essential functions involve greeting customers, accurately counting change, bagging groceries appropriately, carrying groceries to customer vehicles, rotating perishable merchandise, pulling out-of-date product, keeping store shelves stocked, assisting with store displays, observing department policies and procedures, maintaining a clean work area and check stand, and learning/following all safety operating procedures and company policies.
Requirements
- Provide a World-Famous Friendly attitude to customers & team members.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read case labels and shelf tags.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to multi-task & perform all tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to count change & balance cash drawer.
- Ability to learn, follow and model all safety operating procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 45 pounds.
- Able to stand on your feet continuously on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide World Famous Friendly Customer Service to customers, team members, and outside vendors.
- Act as a cashier, greeting customers, smiling, and accurately counting back change.
- Bag groceries, keeping like items together.
- Carry out groceries to customers' vehicles.
- Rotate perishable merchandise and pull out-of-date product.
- Greet customers entering the store and be observant.
- Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
- Keep store shelves fully stocked according to provided information.
- Assist in building store displays.
- Observe and follow policies and procedures established for each department.
- Keep work area and check stand clean.
- Learn, follow, and model all safety operating procedures.
- Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.
