About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Front Desk/Security Guard is the physical safety and security of three facilities. This role has a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to, greeting visitors, verifying their identification, handling incoming calls, processing mail, monitoring CCTV, responding to incidents/alarms, providing information/direction, and issuing badges, entry access cards, safety shoes, and safety glasses.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate professionally to all levels, both oral and written, in English.
  • Experience in physical security.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to learn the badge/entry systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to self-regulate time/projects.
  • Must have US work authorization.
  • Indefinite U.S work authorized individuals only.
  • Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and verify their identification.
  • Provide information & direction to associates and visitors.
  • Ensure all visitors receive the safety information and PPE (watch video, eye wear, shoes, etc.).
  • Act as a gate keeper, ensuring only authorized people are allowed access to all 3 buildings.
  • Answer incoming calls, forward calls or take messages as needed.
  • Process mail – sort incoming mail, apply postage to outgoing mail.
  • Be present and available in the reception area during business hours.
  • Continuously monitor CCTV for all 3 buildings, focused viewing of entrances and ensuring proper access control process. Additionally, monitoring parking lot, and dock area locations.
  • Conduct rounds as needed.
  • Responsible for ID badges and access/entry system accuracy.
  • Gather completed authorization form to grant and remove access from badge and entry systems.
  • Take pictures of employees, authorized contractors, long term visitors and upload them into the badge system to be printed on badges.
  • Run reports, as requested from badge and entry systems.
  • Respond to incidents/alarms.
  • Record incidents in tracking system.
  • Run reports as needed.
  • Act as the key contact for incidents.
  • Provide direction and information to emergency personnel and management.
