About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front Desk / Patient Access Representative to join our ambulatory surgery center team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient service while ensuring accurate registration, documentation, and financial processing.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare or front desk experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone in a professional and courteous manner
  • Collect and verify patient identification and insurance information
  • Ensure all required documentation and signatures are completed accurately
  • Update patient accounts and enter demographic and financial information into the system
  • Collect copayments and deductibles; issue receipts and record payments accurately
  • Balance daily upfront collections and prepare deposits as needed
  • Notify clinical staff when patients are ready to be taken back
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming procedures
  • Maintain office supplies, receive deliveries, and manage incoming mail
  • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all privacy regulations
  • Follow all center policies and procedures and report discrepancies as needed
  • Attend required education and training sessions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
