About The Position

This part-time role averages about 24 hours a week and is central to our front desk operations, especially during busy after-school hours. Responsibilities include welcoming families, following up with prospective students, assisting with workshop setup, and covering the front desk every other Saturday. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and reliable individual with strong follow-through skills who enjoys assisting people, particularly children and families. The role offers a position within a local family business and a supportive, fun administrative team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service, sales or front desk role
  • Reliable transportation (the role includes shifts at both locations)
  • Strong computer and typing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Timely and reliable
  • Available every other Saturday
  • Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local laws/regulations

Responsibilities

  • Be the second front desk person during the after-school rush at our studio
  • Greet students and parents, and assist them in person, by phone and by email
  • Cover the front desk during other staff members' meal breaks
  • Keep the lobby and front desk organized and welcoming
  • Follow up with prospects and inquiries about lessons, scheduling and enrollment to help meet enrollment goals
  • Book trial lessons and turn interested families into enrolled students
  • Process new student enrollments and enter data accurately
  • Help organize and prepare for student workshops and events
  • Set up and break down rooms, materials and signage
  • Welcome families and help workshops run smoothly
  • Run the front desk every other Saturday
  • Manage private lesson schedules and make schedule changes
  • Respond promptly to messages from students, parents and teachers
  • Work towards new student outreach and registration goals
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned
