About The Position

The Front Office Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the hotel, motivating, leading, supervising, and directing the operations of the hotel and its departments. They will motivate and serve as a property leader to the hotel, corporate offices, and owners. This role manages and motivates all front office and guest services personnel with daily supervision, including staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction. The role involves checking and controlling room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting, and department budget to maximize revenue. The manager will compile and prepare financial reports, including the rate and availability calendar. Communication with guests and associates, both verbally and in writing, is essential for answering questions and providing clear direction, as well as advising and instructing staff in the details of their work. The role also includes organizing, conducting, and/or attending meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information. The Front Desk Manager works directly with department managers to ensure a seamless workflow on a daily basis, participates in mandatory training, and ensures the implementation of sales and marketing programs. Responsibilities include completing random guest-registry audits to assure accuracy and completeness, maintaining key control and loss prevention programs, and ensuring that all procedures and federal and state policies are followed. The role also involves reporting aged open accounts to the Support Office Accounting Department and fulfilling any other requests from the Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • Previous work experience with Marriott FOSSE system.
  • Previous Supervisor, Front Desk Manager, or Manager on Duty job experience.
  • Great personality for higher Guest Services and better working experience with the Front Desk staff.
  • Ability to work evenings.
  • Weekends available for on call.
  • Knowledgeable in Marriott's Brand Standards.
  • Background check is required.
