About The Position

Salty's Seafood Grills is seeking a welcoming, full service restaurant host that possesses a genuine heart for hospitality. As a Salty's Seafood Grill Front Desk Host you are the first impression and foremost representative of our restaurant. You welcome and warmly greet our guests with a smile upon arrival and thank them as they leave. This position manages the efficient and timely seating of our guests.

Requirements

• Weekend and Holiday availability Required.
• Both day and night availability Required.
• Ability to provide friendly, welcoming, and professional customer service by greeting guests and assisting guests with a positive attitude and smile.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• A warm, friendly, engaging personality.
• Must be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• Upon seating, engage guest in conversation offer guests a menu suggestion, inform guest of daily, weekly, monthly "message" and inform them of their server's name.
• Pull chair out for guests.
• Greet guests when within 5 feet.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on balancing of guest flow in restaurant.
• Relay messages to servers and server assists as needed.
• Answer phones and take reservations.
• Assist in bussing tables if needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return with a specific reason to come on back.
