About The Position

At CoreLife, in partnership with MedStar Health, the mission is to combat obesity as a disease by providing an integrated care model that addresses its complexities, including medical treatments, nutritional guidance, behavioral support, and personalized exercise regimens. This approach empowers patients to achieve sustainable health results. The Front Desk Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the patient experience through exceptional customer service, managing the check-in and check-out process, handling medical insurance and payments, scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining clinic appearance, and educating prospective and referred patients about CoreLife's services and programs. The role offers a set 4-day workweek, 10 hours per day, with a 3-day weekend at this location.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of medical front office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical insurance
  • Passion for changing lives, one patient at a time
  • Valid CPR license
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient experience while managing the check-in and check-out process, which may include helping them complete any paperwork
  • Handling medical insurance, collecting payments and balances
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Professionally and timely answering the telephone
  • Managing the appearance and cleanliness of the clinic
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our prospective patients
  • Educate referred patients about the services and programs CoreLife offers
