About The Position

This role involves both classroom support and front office duties, with a primary focus on ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The position requires creating positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers, and communicating effectively with parents about their child's experiences. Additionally, the role includes front office responsibilities such as welcoming visitors, conducting tours, assisting with enrollment, and managing communications. A key part of the role is taking ownership of the school's closing procedures, ensuring security and completing necessary tasks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing or sales-focused role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with children, families, teachers, and prospective customers.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to multitask.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable learning and using computer systems and customer databases.
  • Must be dependable and comfortable working a 9:30 AM–6:30 PM schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous childcare or classroom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of the day working in the classroom and supporting teachers.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Communicate with parents about their child's daily experiences, adventures, and achievements.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Welcome families and visitors with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Conduct tours for prospective families and highlight the center's programs and features.
  • Follow up with prospective families and assist with enrollment.
  • Assist with registration and enrollment processes.
  • Communicate important information to families, including newsletters and billing-related communications.
  • Take ownership of the school's closing procedures each evening.
  • Ensure classrooms, common areas, and the front office are secure and ready for the next day.
  • Complete required closing checklists and end-of-day tasks.
  • Ensure all children have been safely dismissed before leaving the building.
  • Communicate any important end-of-day information to leadership.
