About The Position

The Front Desk Clerk ensures the safety, security, and smooth operation of the building and its residents by following established policies and procedures. This role requires professionalism, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and residents. The position is part-time, contingent-on-call, as needed, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available. It is located at Commons at South Cumminsville in Cincinnati, Ohio. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of NCR and Supportive Housing.
  • Strong customer service skills; detail-oriented and able to follow procedures.
  • Basic math and analytic skills.
  • Conflict mediation and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution techniques.
  • Ability to work professionally, independently, and in a team environment.
  • Understanding of the needs of low-income and homeless individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor lobby traffic and ensure all guests check in/out with proper identification.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of common areas and report hazardous conditions.
  • Log incidents and occurrences during shifts.
  • Follow all desk procedures outlined in the manual.
  • Accept, record, and account for rental payments.
  • Sort and distribute mail in a timely manner.
  • Submit maintenance requests in the system, report emergency requests to Maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, professional lobby environment (business casual attire required).
  • Maintain professional boundaries with residents and staff, no personal involvement.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with residents and colleagues.
  • Attend all required meetings and court appearances.
