About The Position

The Front Climbing Club is more than a gym - it's a place where movement, connection, and creativity come together. We believe in showing up for each other, staying curious, and creating spaces where everyone belongs. As a Front Desk & Café Team Member, you're at the heart of the member experience. You'll bounce between front desk hospitality, café service, and gym floor support - helping keep everything running smoothly while creating a warm, upbeat atmosphere. This is a full-time role at our Salt Lake City location, paying $17–$21/hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Love hospitality and genuinely enjoy taking care of people
• Are comfortable working in fast-paced, active environments
• Can switch between café service and gym operations with ease
• Communicate clearly, stay organized, and keep a positive attitude
• Are available for a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Have at least 5 years of combined work, education, or training experience
• Can perform physically active work, including standing, walking, and lifting
• CPR & First Aid
• Utah Alcohol Certification
• Food Handler's Card

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests, handle check-ins, waivers, and facility tours
• Serve coffee, food, and beverages (including alcohol) while keeping café standards high
• Maintain café cleanliness, stock inventory, and support daily food & beverage operations
• Answer phones and help members with programs, pricing, and memberships
• Process retail and merchandise sales accurately
• Support gym operations with regular facility walk-throughs and cleaning
• Monitor climbing areas for safety and positive behavior
• Assist with belay tests, orientations, and basic climbing instruction when needed
• Help staff events and special programs
• Jump in where needed - this role thrives on flexibility and teamwork
