About The Position
This is a student worker position at the Chaparral Fitness Center. The primary duties involve supporting the day-to-day activities of the fitness center, greeting and assisting members, answering phones, providing office assistance, and processing financial transactions. The role requires maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude while ensuring the facilities are neat and orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. (GPA requirement is waived for first-semester students).
- If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years customer service experience preferred.
- CPR/AED certified preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, faculty, staff and community members with general questions.
- Answer phones and take messages.
- Provide word processing, mail services, and general office assistance.
- Provide information regarding College programs, procedures and processes.
- Light cleaning and assistance in keeping facilities neat and orderly.
- Maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Processing financial transactions.
- Schedule personal training and group fitness clients.
Benefits
- Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
