HealthFitness is looking for two energetic Front Desk Attendants to join our fitness center in Thousand Oaks, CA. These part-time (16-21 hours per week), positions are perfect for someone who loves working with people, welcoming members, managing check-ins, sharing program and membership details, and helping create a positive, welcoming fitness experience. Schedule: 16-25 hours per week, 2 shifts available Shift 1: 16 hours per week, THR/F- 4:45pm-10:15pm, Saturday: 7:45am-2:15pm Shift 2: 21 hours per week, Saturday: 7:45am-2:15pm, M/T/W: 4:45pm-10:15pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. of weight
  • Previous customer service experience a plus.
  • Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, check-in and assist customers.
  • Provides program information, services, membership and ensures the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.
  • Greeting, checking-in and assisting customers, provide program information services and membership information.
  • Be present at the front desk and/or on the fitness center floor.
  • Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments or concerns and brings issues to timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Be available for customer service needs.
  • Assist with all member service desk administration and processes, answer phones, and process membership enrollments.
  • Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.
  • Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants and enroll new participants.
  • Laundry and locker rooms services.
  • Secure all equipment, weights, and accessories in their designated positions.
  • Inspect for any safety hazards.
  • Maintains and updates participant and facility policies as appropriate.
  • Educate participants on policies and procedures.
  • Participate in internal programs and special events.
  • Opening and/or closing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
