About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing superior guest services, including handling check-ins and check-outs courteously and efficiently, processing payments, and providing information and services to guests in a friendly and professional manner. This role requires adherence to hotel policies and procedures, including payment and cash handling, and involves generating daily reports and resolving discrepancies with housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
  • Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently.
  • Process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
  • Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
