The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and communicating cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. This role also involves assisting in pre-registration and blocking of reservations, accurately posting all charges, and managing cash handling. The agent will utilize a complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions. A key aspect of the role is understanding hotel rates, discounts, and reservation procedures, including taking same-day reservations efficiently and following cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
