The Front Desk Agent is responsible for managing guest check-in and check-out, operating the Property Management System (PMS), handling cash and credit card transactions, and managing switchboard operations. This role also involves understanding front office emergency and security procedures, taking group reservations, and maintaining a neat and tidy front desk area and lobby. The agent will also handle administrative duties, make minor decisions, take group reservations and set up group blocks, and sell guest rooms through new arrivals and phone inquiries. Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook is required, as is maintaining a professional and hospitable attitude. The agent must also operate the laundry as directed and maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in uniform.
