Set within the historic Becker Pretzel Bakeries Potato Chip Factory, this unique 80-room hotel blends local history with modern hospitality. Located within walking distance of the scenic Susquehanna River and historic downtown Columbia, our hotel will offer guests a memorable experience in one of Lancaster County's most charming communities. Future plans for this exciting property include a first-floor restaurant, a rooftop lounge featuring breathtaking views of the Susquehanna River, a fitness center, and pet-friendly accommodations. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements; Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
