This position requires occasional shuttle driving. Shifts vary depending on the needs of the hotel, but all candidates must be willing to work at least two (2) Night Audit shifts per week. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for approaching each guest interaction with the mindset of exceeding guest expectations, embracing the Cambria culture, and personifying it in daily interactions with guests and co-workers. This role involves completing the registration process, promoting the guest loyalty program, making appropriate room selections, verifying credit cards, handling cash, posting charges, answering the telephone, retrieving messages, issuing luggage claims, and closing guest accounts at check-out. The agent must also resolve guest complaints, remain calm during emergencies, and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby. Assistance may be required with morning breakfast setup, monitoring food, cleaning tables, and breakdown. The role also includes performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
