The Residence Inn Virginia Beach Town Center is the newest and roomiest addition to the Town Center market. The hotel features 120 all-suite rooms, meeting space, indoor pool, and an outdoor patio with grills and a firepit. Conveniently located in Virginia Beach’s Central Business District, and just steps from Town Center, the Residence Inn is surrounded by a vibrant and growing business community in the heart of Virginia’s largest city. Requirements

  • At least six (6) months of previous hotel front desk experience.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Present a professional image at all times.
  • Provide courteous and attentive customer service.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room.
  • Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment,, making change and processing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction, as needed
  • Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests, as needed
  • Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is neat, clean and professional at all times
  • Create fun and memorable experiences for guests
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
