About The Position

Fright Fest is resurrecting for its 33rd year at Six Flags Magic Mountain and is looking for talented individuals to join their team. This is a short-term position for a specific special event and period. The roles available include Show Host, Fright Fest Entertainment Dancer, and Fright Fest Musician. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Must be 18 or Older
Passionate about performing on stage or on the street

Dance experience
Passion for dance and presence on stage
Work well with others
Able to work in crowds, heat and cold for two-hour intervals during rehearsals and 45-minute performance nights
High energy, enthusiasm
Fully proficient on instrument (for Musician role)
Able to stand or sit and perform a maximum of (4) 45-minute intervals (for Musician role)
Able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for (4) forty-five-minute sets (for Musician role)
Will be required to join the American Federation of Musicians, if not a member already (for Musician role)
Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature change.
Able to carry and wear 5 to 20 pounds of costume weight
All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device.

Responsibilities

Performing as a show host/hostess, emcee, singer, dancer.
Meeting and greeting park guests with enthusiasm and high animation.
Performing specific choreographed movements if required.
Maintaining organization of props and costumes.
Maintaining clean dressing rooms and performance areas.
Transporting costumes to/from the performance location and wardrobe.
Performing free style and choreographed dance.
Interacting/dancing with guests.
Playing musical instruments and equipment.
Singing live or acoustic.
Speaking to crowds.
Entertaining park guests with enthusiasm and high animation.
Standing or sitting and performing a maximum of (4) 45-minute intervals.
Working in crowds, heat, and cold for two-hour intervals during rehearsals and 45-minute performance nights.
