About The Position
Internships at Gateway are designed to provide the intern with practical industry training and real-project exposure through experiential learning. Freshman level Interns spend their time primarily in developmental training sessions, and supplement training with participation on real project teams to gain a contextual understanding of Gateway’s practice areas and how they are integrated to develop and deliver solutions to our clients.
Requirements
- Successfully completed their freshman year of university/college studies and are returning to school for their sophomore year to qualify for this internship.
- Possess and provide self-transportation to/from Gateway office and required local project sites.
- Demonstrate the desire to grow personally and professionally.
- Demonstrate strong and confident communication skills
- A commitment to lifelong learning and improvement
- Be coachable
- Exhibit organization skills
- The ability to efficiently manage his/her time
- Critical thinking
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Responsibilities
- Developmental Training: Environmental Health & Safety training with tiered certification
- Design Technology training
- Site Design training
- Plan/Spec Overview
- Client project site visits
