About The Position

As a Food Clerk, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while you provide our customers with exceptional customer service. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment. Full- time and Part- Time opportunities available in the following departments: Deli and Meat. Deli department shifts available from 6 AM - 10 PM. Meat department shifts available from 10AM- 6:30PM. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Enjoys interacting with customers one-on-one.
Highly-organized with great attention to detail.
Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
Comfortable using electronic bakery and deli equipment.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.

Nice To Haves

Current or previous experience in deli, meat, food service or restaurant.

Assist customers with their orders for a variety of deli services.
Assist customers and deli and meat service cases.
Provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders.
Ensure quality service and products for customers by following safety and sanitation procedures.
Stocking and conditioning departments utilizing food safety training.
Cleaning and sanitizing Meat Cutting room.
Respond to customer questions in an effective and efficient manner.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Build trustful relationships with customers to encourage return visits.
Stock product displays according to merchandising standards.
